Monash University's Faculty of Education aimed to change negative perceptions around the teaching industry through the #ThankYourTeacher campaign. By highlighting the significance of the teaching profession, amplifying the positive impact teachers make in people's lives, we were challenged to create an activation concept that inspired the everyday Australian to #ThankYourTeacher.
When Monash University's Faculty of Education approached Social Playground, they sought creative and strategic direction to bring their campaign to life, both on-campus and at Federation Square in Melbourne CBD. Our creative strategists excelled in delivering several options to Monash Education, to achieve their key objectives.
The outcome was a brightly coloured life size build which celebrated teachers by combining nostalgia with technology, appealing to a broad range of audiences.
Our ProPix photography studio captured animated gifs and still photos of attendees at the pop up in both Monash University's Learning and Teaching Building, and a Federation Square live site.
A Social Mosaic showcased a culmination of all the images contributed by students throughout the activation, while a custom-built social media sharing platform captured data and personalised thank you messages, to build a more meaningful experience.
We also developed and built a custom application that simplified digital sharing, and made it easy for activation participants to write a personalised Thank You message to a teacher that made an impact on their lives.
